AI FACTORY

LUXEMBOURG SELECTED TO HOST ONE OF EUROPE'S FIRST
AI FACTORIES

A COMPLETE ECOSYSTEM

The Luxembourg AI Factory draws on the expertise of five consortium members: LuxProvide, Luxinnovation, Luxembourg National Data Service, the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. It is also supported by seven associated partners: the Digital Learning Hub, the Luxembourg House of Financial Technologies, the Luxembourg Space Agency, the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, the startup incubator Technoport, the national sovereign cloud operator Clarence and the telecoms operators. The AI Factory's objective is to support Luxembourg businesses by offering a full suite of AI services, including advanced solution building, AI maturity assessments, regulatory sandboxes, data sharing frameworks, data access and leveraging, guiding businesses from ideation to execution and supporting every phase of AI adoption.

POWERING AI INNOVATION

The cornerstone of the Luxembourg AI Factory will be MeluXina-AI, a sovereign supercomputer optimised for artificial intelligence. This essential technical infrastructure will be hosted in two state-of-the-art Tier IV-certified data centres, ensuring secure, hyperconnected and scalable computing power for the development and deployment of AI solutions. MeluXina-AI is scheduled to be available in mid-2026.

MeluXina-AI will adopt a cloud-native, dynamic, multi-tenant and multi-site approach. It will go beyond simple AI performance by implementing highly secure processing environments for private AI and will support an end-to-end computing continuum through compute and data bridges. These bridges will facilitate integration with data lakes and services from cloud service providers and AI factories.

The raw computing power of MeluXina-AI will be complemented by a rich software stack. This software stack will enable the development of AI, the training of optimised AI models and the fine-tuning of market models on private datasets. In addition, MeluXina-AI will offer dedicated AI-as-a-Service facilities to support the growth of novice AI innovators.
